Vision:

Highlight Memo’s work in the new Urban Hawker brand launch by Urbanspace — and keep Memo’s portfolio updated with current client case studies!

Obstacles:

Case studies are extremely challenging to write. Often too boring or bombastic, portfolio copy tends to lose readers’ attention by trying to tell every detail of the story — or by bragging about how exceptional the results are.

Plus, it’s really hard to write about your work when you’re so close to your work. If you’ve ever tried to write a project overview or case study, you know. And Douglas knows! So he gives me a call whenever Memo has an incredible client story to tell.

I worked with Memo in 2021 to update their new brand voice and platform, so I’m close enough to Memo’s brand strategy and voice — but not so close that it’s hard for me to distill multi-faceted client projects into clear and compelling success stories.

Solutions:

Memo’s projects always have complex goals, deep strategy, and beautiful results. Lots of juicy details to weave together!

See: Urban Hawker — the first Singaporean street food hall in America, and a new stand-alone brand by the national leader in the food hall space, Urbanspace.

Featuring stunning branding and environmental design by Memo, this (massive!) success story is about the power of inclusivity and accessibility, the desire to come home but leave it too, and — like all of Memo’s work — good humor and excellent taste.

Results:

Check out Urban Hawker’s new case study on Memo’s site — or better yet, go eat there and get the full experience! 🍜

I love that you can take really disparate ideas and put them together into really engaging copy. You can quote me on that!
